I & C MEMBERS NEEDED

2/1/2012

IBEW Members,

I am John Markey, Bus. Mgr. Local 265 in Lincoln, NE. Mat Merten with BESCO has contacted me and is currently bidding I & C work in the Cooper Nuclear Powerhouse in Brownville, NE. The bid is for a 1 year contract, starting in March, with a refueling outage, (we are told that there will be overtime on the outage). I am asking if you have any I&C people that would send a resume if they would be interested in working on this project to please forward them to BESCO with a copy to Local #265. He needs to have at least 20 resumes sent to him before the contract bids on Tuesday, February 10th. Mat Merten’s e-mail is mmerten@besco.com and phone is 865-244-2923. Please copy e-mails to me at johnmarkey@ibew265.org . I’ve included below the qualifications needed that I received from Mr. Merten and attached is the wage package to be used for the work on this project if awarded. Contact me if you have any questions. Thanks for your time.

There is a qualification through ISA called CSST. That is not required, but would be a big plus. The 72 hour work week will be for the outage only, generally 35 days (but often longer). The rest would be, and I quote…
“Online hours may have some overtime involved. This is hard to determine at this time. It will depend on work load and resource. “
